Allmän språkvetenskap

När du läser Allmän språkvetenskap får du ökad kunskap om något som berör dig dagligen i såväl privatlivet som yrkeslivet: språket. Allmän språkvetenskap är studiet av den mänskliga språkförmågan, mänskliga språk och språklig kommunikation.

Ämnet behandlar språk i ett individuellt, interaktionellt, samhälleligt och universellt perspektiv och tar upp språkets olika aspekter: språkljudens bildningssätt, akustik och perception (fonetik, fonologi), ordformer (morfologi), grammatiska strukturer (syntax), betydelse (semantik) och användning (pragmatik).
